Guanacaste · Costa Rica
black tea | toasted hazelnut | orange
The Region
Guanacaste is Costa Rica's northwestern province — a drier, warmer landscape than the country's highland coffee regions, shaped by the Pacific coast and the Cordillera de Guanacaste. Coffee grown here develops under different conditions than the mountain-grown lots from Tarrazú or the Central Valley, producing a profile that's softer in acidity and broader in body. It's a less expected origin for specialty coffee, which is precisely what makes it interesting.
